Privacy Policy

Overview

Mailbox is designed with privacy as a core principle. The app runs entirely on your device — no data is ever sent to external servers, no analytics are collected, and no accounts are required.

Data Collection

Mailbox collects zero user data. All emails captured by the SMTP server are stored locally on your device using SwiftData. No information is transmitted over the internet.

Local Storage

All data (server configurations, captured emails, attachments) is stored locally in your app container. Data persists until you manually delete it. Uninstalling the app removes all data.

Network Usage

Mailbox only uses network connections for: (1) the local SMTP server listening on localhost, (2) the optional REST API on localhost, (3) optional email forwarding to a server you configure. No data is sent to our servers.

Third-Party Services

Mailbox uses RevenueCat for subscription management. RevenueCat processes purchase transactions through Apple and does not receive any email content or SMTP data. See RevenueCat Privacy Policy.
