Privacy Policy

Mailbox is designed with privacy as a core principle. Captured email content is processed and stored on your device, no analytics are collected, and no Mailbox account is required.

Mailbox does not collect analytics, account data, or captured email content. Captured emails remain local unless you explicitly configure email forwarding. The app makes the limited network requests described below.

All data (server configurations, captured emails, attachments) is stored locally in your app container. Data persists until you manually delete it. Uninstalling the app removes all data.

Mailbox uses network connections for local SMTP and platform-API listeners, the optional local REST API, optional email forwarding to a server you configure, and downloading public compatibility and platform-spec data. Captured email content is not sent to Mailbox-operated servers.

Purchases and subscriptions are handled directly by Apple through StoreKit and the App Store. The app may fetch public email-compatibility data from caniemail.com and public platform-spec updates from Apple's CloudKit. Captured email content and SMTP data are not sent to these services.
